Hi all, and welcome to my page. I never thought I would ever own a Mustang COUPE, especially in a teal-ish color. But it has grown on me. Both the car AND the color. This is how she was when I first bought her after I lost a taillight lense on a trip one night. Just heard a pop and realized after I got back home (it was a 3 hour trip one way and this happened 1/2 hour into it LOL) that I was illegal. Oops
I went on Ebay and found some GT Louvers that I thought would look good for a damned good price. So, this is how she USED to look...before some schmuck decided he didn't like them and plowed into her while we were sleeping one night.
This is NOT for the squeemish. Hell, I don't even like to look at these pics. This is the damage.
This pic shows exactly how hard my baby was hit. The front bumper was just to the left of the sidewalk. She got bunny hopped a good 6-8 feet into my (then) Fiance's car.

And THIS is how she looks now after repairs and slight upgrades (asthetics mostly). Found a guy that was able to fix all the original metal and found another pair of GT taillights that he was able to paint up as well. This was all done, including the window tinting which is 50% on the side roll-downs and 5% on the back three, while my (NOW) wife and I were getting married and on our honeymoon. Talk about a GREAT wedding gift huh? LOL

*Update 4-22-05*
Ok, decided what I want to do with my baby FINALLY. I am going to made her into "The Mustang GT Ford never made." I found some Turbines CHEAP and am currently refinishing them.
What they looked like shortly after I picked them up after using aircraft body paint remover to remove the bulk of the old, yellowing, cracked, peeling clear
And what the one that I just finished with last night looks like NOW
I used Graphite Metallic then came back and hand painted Chrome on the lip and the edges of the blades. The chrome ends up looking like brushed aluminum to me and was WAY easier than trying to polish or wipe with thinner on all those edges.
Here is a really bad photoshop of what I am hoping to achieve with my girl someday, except with GT Slotted taillights of course LOL

Let me know what you all think!
Thanks!
Update time! It's been forever and a day since I last had anything to update, but that's what becoming a Daddy does to you LOL
Anyway, I finally got those rims done and installed with new Fuzion tires. I ended up coming back with a wire wheel and grinding all the paint off the lip and edges. I wasn't really happy with the painted look and, after a polishing, I think they look MUCH better.
I also refinished the hubcaps by stripping them and then painting them Aluminum and painting the recessed Ford logo Blue before clearing.

I have some new clear corner headlights on order and am looking into ways to cost effectively lower her down roughly 1 1/2-2" since she looks like she wants to go mudding with how high she sits right now. Hope to be able to have some more updates soon.
