Well I recently located and purchased the car of my dreams. 1988 Pontiac Trans Am. The rules for buying this car were quite simple.
1) it had to have a V8
2) Body and frame had to be solid
People always asked me "why this car, why not a charger or a camaro...why TransAm???" Well the answer to that is simple and can be said with 2 words, Knight Rider...nuff said.
Anywho, here are some pics of my car.
Here is a shot of the hood when it was in the previous owners garage. The car was previously owned by a woman who wanted to replace it for something more family like. She kept the body clean however the internals of the engine is another story.
Here is a closeup on the rims. I wasn't too fond of the gold rims but after a while they kinda grew on me. They have WS6 Written on the center caps..might be hard to read from the picture.
Here is a pic of the engine. Its pretty much a stock 305 (engine code L03). Its got plenty of torque but I find that it lacks in pull anywhere above 3000rpm. The guys at Third Gen.org are pretty good at tuning these motors and have great advice on how I can wake it up a bit.
What can I say. I can't have car without a stereo. I love music, gotta have it when I am at home, work and definately when I am driving. What you are seeing back there are 2 Kenwood KAC-929 1000watt amplifiers, 2 Mobile Authority 1 farrad Capacitors, 2 Pioneer Premier 1200 watt 10" subwoofers and a custom box that me and my dad built using 3/4" MDF. The head unit which I don't have any pictures of yet is a Pioneer premier DEH-3500. Its a decent deck with some nice features.
Here is a pic of my car parked on the side of the road.
Here is a pic of my interior. Please ignore the wires. I still need to do some cleaning. The monitor you see is wired to a computer that sits behind the back seat. The computer has a USB GPS reciever, IP Bus Cables which are jacked into my Stereo so I can play mp3z or have the GPS do voice directions when I am traveling in areas that I am unfamilliar with. Also the PC is equiped with a WIFI network card which I have wired into the cars stock antena..great for router trolling.
