Cyndi617's 1993 Geo MetroThis is my GEO. I have been rebuilding her since 11/2004.Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro
And this is just the begining..

These are my rims. Dirty Huh? Thats what I get for being a country girl.

This is a pic of my old engine.. in the old engine compartment with the old engine componets.

OLD DIRTY ENGINE COMING OUT!!

In the left picture if you can tell, the intake was honed. And in the picture on the right is just the engine "waiting for it's day."

This is the new!! It's not finished in this picture but as you can tell, I did a lot of work so far. So far I've replaced every part except the alternator and the starter. I got a remanufactuared engine through Kragen Auto Parts from a company called Evergreen, $1700.00 for a new engine.

Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro New belts all around. And gaskets of course. New radiator that cost $269.00, also got new hoses. New belt housing, (even though its plastic it still cost me $100.00) new oil pan $230.00. Heater core too, also new hoses for it. Racing clutch (stage 1). Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro New spark plugs (stock) and wires, distributor/cap and rotor. PCV valve too. Water pump and thermostat. Even the thermostat housing. Temperature sending unit. I got a new [Orbit6 deep force] battery $160.00.

I also got new struts all the way around. I also pulled front and rear sway bars off of a 96' Geo Metro at the junk yard $70.00. ( I also bought new bushings for them. ) But the 93' Geo doesn't have a spot for rear so I had to drill and customize the fit. What really cost me a lot was all new bearings in all four wheels, both inside and out! I got new Drums in back and rotors and pads in front, which are all stock. I also painted the brakes.

HERE IS A FINISHED LOOK AT MY ENGINE. NO COOL MOD'S YET, BUT HOPEFULLY COMING SOON!! Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro

This down here is my interior...

Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro This is the carpet getting put down. I got it from JC Whitney, $200.00.

Cyndi617's 1993 Geo Metro This is my tiny Pioneer speakers (that are just fine for right now). I have a six speaker system. I figure all the back speakers would be good for drive-in movies.

I had the seats custom done by one of the Upholstery shops here in town (Al's Upholstery). Blue and Black, trimmed in Grey. Nice huh? Of course I did the dash and door panels as well. And if you can see it I also have a short shifter. (custom of course) It's not a short throw, it's just short. That will be coming soon.

I hopefully have more to come, (outside of the car) got to save some money. If you got any ideas please share them with me. I have open (eyes). Thank you for taking the time and looking at my roller-skate (as my friends call it).

Hey I like your geo. It looks great. I think you spent too much money on some of that stuff though... $1700 for an engine it a bit steep, especially for just a 3 cylinder. And two hundred something dollars for a radiator is insane. I got a guage cluster just like yours for $50 from the junkyard. I like what you did, but I think you could have gotten a lot more done for your money. Please check out my 1994 geo...
