Heres my little photo compilation of the tear down and build up of my 1992 Ford Taurus SHO Wagon. Yep I said WAGON! It began its life as an ordinary GL edition with the 3.0L V-6 Vulcan and ATX tranny. It wouldnt stay that way for long ;0)
In 1993 Ford built a red SHO Wagon for a Car&Driver article. They used a 3.2L ATX SHO for the donor car and the test results were impressive given the 3636 lb weight. In testing it was slightly quicker than an ATX SHO sedan and stopped better than an Infinity Q45. The only drawback was the estimated MSRP of $30,000. Needless to say they were never produced. Forward now to 2004 and the (snarl)(show teeth) Dodge Hemi Wagon is being sold at over $30K. What if Ford came out with an answer to the Dodge wagon ? I cant wait so I am building a cannibal that feeds off of other wagons. Mainly the Dodge !
I hope you enjoy the pics and appreciate the enormous amount of time and effort I put into this project.
Some wagons were built to haul stuff this one is built to haul ass !
