Great profile. Whenever I look at these cars I can only see the muscle in the way they are built. Funny thing. I bought mine about 2 years ago from a guy who also had a 1970 Chevelle. His wife kinda made him choose between the 2 and of chouse the galaxie had to go. First thing - the Galaxie turns out to be an XL and well, 2 years later he offers to trade his Chevelle to me for the XL back. Although the Chevelle is worth more on paper there are always several at the shows and you pretty much see them here and there. Not to often do I pull my XL out and someone does not ask "What kind of car is that?!" No way on that trade! LOL... Put a lil time into her and her will return the love many times over!

Hey, I am emailing all the 69 Galaxie owners a question. I am doing a frame off restoration on mine. The body is off the frame and I need to know a measurement. I am replacing the entire trunk pan out of mine and need to know the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the trunk pan at the front (closest to the engine) right behind the rear differential. The reason I ask, is because I am replacing the trunk pan with one out of a 89 crown victoria, witch is very similar but a couple of inches deeper at that point. I want to know if I can go deeper and still have enough ground clearance. The differential is approximately 7 inches off the ground and the trailing arms under the rear springs are about 6 inches. If you can get me the measurement I'd greatly appreciate it. Please email me @ littledmac@gmail.com or post a comment to my page. Nice ride by the way. Thanks, Damon
