I don't OWN this car YET but I'm basically creating an account on CarDomain just to use the forums etc, but here's the car i plan to buy when i'm out of high school and start making decent money. 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 Coupe (Or a CL600). Gotta keep it real with only the best, a 600 Series Benz. This car has got to be one of the biggest bang-for-your-buck. It's a 400 Horsepower V12 luxury car, spacious, gorgeous interior and exterior, and plenty of buttons. In 1995 this car's MSRP was $133,300. And today you can pick one up for around 17-25, depending on milage etc. But i've seen one for 17 thousand with only 77k miles. Now is that a steal or what?? A 133k luxury car for only about 20 or so today. Anyway I suppose I can say my future plans for the car... once I get one (assuming that I will) I'd like to get a sony 11" flip up LCD head unit with FM Tuner, and custom make my own mount under the glove box to slide in a 15" Apple Powerbook that I can take with me in my car. The iBook will have iTunes for music, and well I just want it so i can have the computer in the car for internet, email, chat, games, DVD's, whatever. The only thing i've got to deal with is custom hook up for AV plug-in's, i've seen something about that i could use, and well i'll figure that out when i get there. And besides that, as far as speakers go, I'll probably want to get some brand new Bose speakers throughout the car, and maybe a 5" Sub, i'm not into the whole boom boom thing, just nice, balanced music. So when i'm listening to classical i'll be able to hear the highs and lows, or hip hop and just turn up the bass a little on the equalizer on iTunes, i think just a 5" sub can handle it just fine. As far as wheels and tires i think i'll go with some 18" Chrome Lowenharts, keep the factory ride height, and with 18's and still some rubber on the tire the ride should still stay smooth. 20's are a bit gaudy for me, and i think it'll get bumpier with less rubber.
