This page is for the 1973 Firbird Formula 350 of which I recently aqquired from my brother.
We located this car in Lethbridge Alberta in 1997.
The car was purchased as a complete numbers matching car.

If you had the privelige of opting for the Formula package on a (then new) 1973 Firebird, the package would have included the following:
-L30 350-2bbl V8
-True dual exhaust c/w chrome extensions
-Floor mounted 3spd manual transmission (saginaw built)
-Front and rear swaybars
-"Formula" fiberglass hood
-dual 'sport' mirrors
-AM radio (c/w in single in dash speaker)
-10-bolt differential(non-posi)
-14x7" steel wheels c/w F70-14 blackwall tires & 'dog-dish' hubcaps

Some options available to a 1973 Firebird Formula were:
- L78 400/ 4bbl engine
- L75 455/ 4bbl engine ('D'-port)
- LS2 455/ 4bbl engine ('round'-port, Super Duty engine)
- Automatic transmission (TH350 with the 350 engine; TH400 for 400/455 engines)
- 4-speed transmision (saginaw unit for 350 cars; muncie 'M20' or 'M22' available for 400 cars; muncie 'M22' for 455 cars)
- front seat center console
- rear seat center console
- AM dual speaker radio
- AM/FM 'mono' radio
- AM/FM 'stereo' radio
- 8-track tape player
- ralley gauges with or without tachometer
- 10-bolt differential w/posi-trac rear end
- 14x7" Ralley II wheels c/w F70-14 white letter tires
- 15x7" Ralley II wheels c/w F60-15 white letter tires
- 15x7" 'Honeycomb' wheels c/w F60-15 white letter tires
- Radial tuned suspension
- any 1973 Firebird exterior colour
- any 1973 Firebird interior colour
- exterior chrome dress up
- vinyl roof
- rear bumperettes

The only available gearsets for 1973 Formulas were: 2.73:1 / 3.08:1 / 3.42:1.

If you did not specify the gearset, depending on what drivetrain you ordered, this is what you recieved;

A) any engine w/ a manual transmission = 3.42:1

B) L30 w/ automatic transmission (TH350) = 2.73:1

C) L78 or L75 or LS2 w/ automatic transmission (TH400) = 3.42:1

D) either 'A' or 'C' w/ air conditioning = 3.08:1

The options for this exact car were:
-Automatic transmission
-Power steering
-Power brakes
-Rear window defog (fan type)
-Ralley gauges w/clock
-AM 8-track dual speaker radio
-Front seat center console
-14x7 ralley II wheels (w/ full size spare)
-Custom cloth delux interior (two tone cloth/ corduroy/ vinyl combo)
-Exterior chrome dress up
-Rear bumperettes
*-this is an early build 1973 car, so it has many 1972 style interior pieces (the most obvious being carpet and headliner)
This car was ordered as an Ascot Silver car.
