Oct 2006 Update:
Sorry it's been so long. Wife House bills = motor slowdown. But I'm making progress. I have some money stashed away for the winter...and with any luck, the motor will get pulled in mid December and I'll start moving forward.
Here's some pics of the motor bits
Block is split and cleaned and goes in to get bored very soon. Christmas bonus should hit end of December at which point I'll go on a shopping spree ;)
Plans for the new motor include:
Perrin Fuel Rails
Perrin GT35R setup
820cc fuel injectors
Dual fuel pumps, or at least one that'll push more than a Walbro 255.
Helix 264 cams and valvetrain
Port and polished header. All exhaust pipes coated and wrapped.
TXS DTEC boost control unit
PPG 1-4 straight cut gearset
Not sure on the clutch yet, I don't expect a 2.2L to be a torque monster ...
