I thought I would use this last page to tell you a little bit about me. I am a student at Georgia Tech where I plan to graduate with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in the spring of 2008. During the school year I work with the Tech football team as the head student football manager. Between football and school I don?t have much time to put into my car so it is a very slow process. During high school I took two years of auto tech and 4 years of drafting. If I hadn?t been accepted to Georgia Tech and gotten the job with the football team I would have gone directly into the automotive dealership to be a mechanic. Now I hope to get a job in the automotive industry doing something hands on. I have this incentive to do design work but I do not want to sit behind a desk all day staring at a computer screen so I hope I can find a job that allows me to do lab work of some sort.
This is my first hot rod and I am using it to learn all I can about restoration that I can. Neither of my parents know anything about cars so I have to teach myself almost everything. Fortunately I have a good understanding of how the systems work and a very good manual on the power train repair for my car. Lately (as can be seen on the site) I have been trying to teach myself to weld and I am very excited so far.
I guess that is about it for me, if you want to ask me a question or something about my car send me an e-mail at GMC.Sprint at gmail.com.
