The big day finally arrived. I got the bellhousing back from the guy who "borrowed" it and took it to another country for a few months while I was gone (long story there) :(, and put the engine and tranny back together. I had my dad and my friend Mark Feenstra come and help me out for the day... good thing I had the extra hands.

Here are the LT1 and the 13B side by side... which would you rather have powering your car?! hahaha :).

Here it is going in. We had to put it at a really slanted angle to get the tail of the tranny to slide down the tunnel. It was a slow but sure process, but eventually the engine was laying in the cradle. The bolts were a little hard to line up, but eventually it all fell into place... Granny's kit was great!

Here's the LT1 in all settled in it's new home. It looks great, and almost like it was meant to be. The is much more room in there than the engine bay of the Camaro it came from!

This is the clearance between the steering rack and oil pan. At first they were touching, but I added a washer or two to increase clearance to about 1/8" which should be sufficient.

Here's how the T56 was mounted. It required drilling through the floor pan which wasn't too big of a deal to me.

The shifter came up dead center just like everyone promised. This was probably the most impressive part of the fit. Looks great and I just feel so cool runing through 6 gears. The first time I drive it I am going to freak out shifting into 6th... It's in the reverse loction on most 5-speeds!
