This is not a US spec WRX, nor is it the JDM Spec WRX. Its what they send to all the other world markets, (UK, NZ, Australia, Barbados etc) what they call the General Market.

i4dat's 2003 Subaru Impreza WRXI thought that this might make an interesting picture, its a reflection of the WRX in a street mirror.

Anyway, I took delivery of my WRX on the 7th of July, 2004.

In their first shipment of Impreza's to the Bahamas, TyreFlex Star Motors brought two WRX's.
The Bright Red Metallic WRX, and the WR Blue Mica. My Brother jumped at the blue WRX a little over a year ago.

Here are some pics of his WRX.

As you can see, the Blue is a tight colour. Its a colour that will automatically draw people's attention.

And even though I might not get the looks like his WRX, at least I don't have a door ding like he does. (at least not yet!)

Well I needed something practical, and that wasn't Dead as a Hammer.
So I called TyreFlex, and come to find out, they still had the Red one a year later.
So, after a brief bank visit (a loan approved in three days isn't too shabby) I was able to get it.
TyreFlex gave me a killer deal because of how long they had been sitting on it.

As you can see, the Engine Bay is very Stock, but that will change in the coming months.

My first mod will be the 'Snorkelectomy'. Which is the removal of the resonator box from the fender well intake tube.

Mod performed on July 20th. It has made the turbo a little louder, and you can hear some intake noise. Verdict on mod... I LIKE IT!
Cost of mod... FREE $$$

When I have some spare change, the first mods will be the essentials.
I will definitly need Tint for the windows, to try and combat the Heat (Summer is Hot as the Hinges of Hell here in Nassau).

And to upgrade the stereo to something with a little bit of a thump. i4dat's 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.

After I deal with those items, I will move into performance mods, starting with the exhaust. The good thing with the WRX is you can get exhaust parts in sections. I will probably start with some form of rear pipe, then change the midpipe to get a cat back exhaust(Borla or Prodrive).

The index at the top of the page will show you what is on the various pages.

So feel free to check them out.

Beautiful ride ! Love the work you've done. I do have a question - did you manage to get the Cobb Accessport working with your Eurospec WRX ? Or are you using some other EM ?

The reason I'm asking is that I have a Euro Spec (Gen Market) WRX like yours and I'm looking into EM options on my car while stock (or possibly lightly modded). The main option right now is EcuTek, but I'd also like to look into Cobb Accessport, but only if it works on this car of course. Could you offer any advise please ? Thanks a million ! :)

Great subie, i love the color. ANd you cant beat the background on your pics, beautiful!! I would recommend getting the Cobb AccessPort Stage1 before an exhaust. Just a reflash that gives 30+ hp... check it out... Email me if you got questions. -Rich
