Exhaust:
Here is a comparison shot of the stock LG4 (305ci) exhaust log style manifolds compared to the Jet Hot coated SLP 1 3/4" tri-Y style headers.

and installed....

ncruzer's 1983 Pontiac Trans Am

The driver header tube did not have to be dented to clear the steering shaft as is sometimes the case. I removed the steering shaft first, installed the header and then reinstalled the shaft with the neceassry clearance. Installing new motor nounts is also recommended before installation.

Here you can kind of see the Dynomax Hemi Super Turbo # 17749, muffler and exhaust pipe that replaced the obnoxiously loud Flowmaster. It is a mandrel bent (no kinks or reduction of diameter around bends)3" system throughout the entire length until the muffler. Then reduced to 2.5" muffler inlet and exhaust pipe. All of it is a direct bolt on.
Why 2.5" you ask? Click and read this article Performance Muffler Comparison
The muffler is single in/out 2.5" .
