Project TRUCK with Hydraulic Boom ...RESTORATION!!!
Heres my first engine swapping equipment when I first started doing engine swaps with Mazda/Kia last year 2000. The truck was first used by my dad in our Marble plant business...carrying blocks of Marble....ngayon hiningi ko na ....para engines na lang bubuhatin niya hehehe. The above picture was taken last year 2002...lamog na that time....mas lamog ngayon sa kalawang hehehe
I first mounted my rare BPD engine using its Hyrdraulic boom...with just a move of a lever....the whole boom extends...goes up and down....swing from left and right.
The Diesel engine is still good as well as its hydraulic boom.
....only the truck head is a mess ...and other less expensive parts...like fuel tank and brakes
Heres the truck after I left it at my old shop....
....3 years passed....And I decided to try starting the engine again.....and to my suprise...it started in just 1 click. I also was able to use its truck boom to finish 2 Mazda BP engine swaps using my old shop at Cavite...another surprise...the hydraulic boom still works!!!. Good thing I left it in my shop with all the hydraulic cylinders unretracted....as it makes the cylinder submerged in hydraulic fluid....except for 1 cylinder....1 of its left foot was extended on the ground(as seen on left picture)...exposing it to contaminants...has small rust...so I hae to clean this cylinder.
Time to shop for a better truck head....
Heres my first choice....a Kia Truck head...but when I was about to buy it....its already gone...the same day I went to the supplier to buy it...someone allready bought it...too bad. Good thing with this head...is that its an original Left hand drive...since it came from Korea
...shopping for more truck head...on the right...found an exact truck head...they call it TLD ELF. Its an old model...whick makes me think twice on whether to but it or not. ...as I wanted a newer model
