I DO NOT USE CARDOMAIN ANYMORE BECAUSE MY PICS WONT DISPLAY IT IS CARDOMAINS FAULT, SORRY FOR THE DISAPOINTMENT...
Heres a quick overview of my rides.
Also... I know how to spell project, I just like saying prodject better idk why...
page#1, Prodject '86. This is what I spent my summer vaccation of '04 on restoring this t-toped better than it was. Its got a LT1 supercharged engine, tinted all around, Flowmaster 80 series crossflow and american thunder exaust system, Edlebrock adjustable panhard bar, 4.10 gears, Eibach lowering springs, black Spohn sway bars, Tubular A-Arms, a GM cam kit, and alot more. Theres been $7,870.71 into mods. I'm giving it a GTA look I got gold rims and in spring badges will be on. Along with a tan leather GTA interior comming soon.
page#3 Super 2000. Heres my first 4th gen Trans Am. Its a 2000 T/A with WS6 performance, Ram Air, black leather, t-toped, 10 speaker 500watt monson sound system w/ the optional 12 disk cd changer. Mods are, I cut the EGR tube 1 1/4" i got better airflow now, A K&N 33-2118 filter for Ram Air, BMR strut tower brace, Hypertech programmer III, Flowmaster American Thunder exaust system with the Flowmaster 80 Series Crossflow muffler. You see! I told you over the winter it would be modded up good. Still more to come i need a sound system now.
page#4 Black Beauty. I got this 2002 Trans Am as part of my 17th b-day gift. I'm paying 50% of the price tag so its all fair. Its all stock now, 540 origional miles, the origional owner bought it new in March '02 and babied it all the time. He had a good collection of cars himself and drove the other ones more than the Trans Am. That makes it great for me! low miles I can build up lol.
and last and the least, page#4 the daily ride which isn't important. Its a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport. I'm driving it everywhere now since my T/As are locked up in a heated garage for the cold winter. I drive it on the ruff roads, gravel roads ( going camping ), in the rain, in snow, we all got a vehicle specifically for that right?

___________________________________Before restoration pics_______________________________________
This is what this Trans Am looked like before my dad gave it to my bro... Srry its just 2 pics if I find more I'll put em up.
Looks beautiful from that angle pic huh? This is a lil of what it use too look like. It was origionally owned by my dad. He bought it in November 1985 and he loved this car. He did alot to keep it in top condition for the 13 years he had it. He maintained it very well, changed oil himself, washed and waxed, I never saw a bug on it and thats no joke, this thing look good even after being on the highway for a couple hours, Then in '98 my older bro graduated and yes you guessed it, this Trans Am was a gift. This was where my dad was stupid and messed up big time... After the first 9 months my bro had it he never changed the oil, thought he could get away with parking in illegal zones, he never locked the doors, sometimes left the keys in the ignition and the stupidest thing somebody could do, leave the motor running while ur in the store for 5 or 10 minutes... The result of those things were the car getting stolen 3 times, and 2 of those steals the car got crashed a lil and badly dinged. The other steal was someone just driving off like on Worlds Wildest police videos, when the guy stole it he speed threw traffic, made a couple cars collide, did donuts at stoplights, got involved in hit and run and attemp of with a cop, finally the T/A's engine blew not use to being put to this kind of engine temperatures and then he was blocked by the cops. Well when he finally had it till it wouldn't start he had it in his yard since 1998 ( 6 years ago ) and it sat there looking like this...
The frown,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and the smile
Heres the beginning of Prodject '86.
Sad looking isn't it? It sure missed the road, but doesn't miss my bro driving.
Yeah look at that it says FUEL INJECTION on the door handles thats better than PONTIAC, and way better than nothing at all. I put decals like that put back on the handles cause it looks cool. Also you may have noticed the overhead console isn't in, it has been reported that it had been ripped out from the second person that stole the car in '98. I havent replaced it but I dont think i will cause I dont remember what they look like or what they could do.
The T/A and my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport.
Wouldn't touch this interior with a 10ft stick huh?
The Firebird cover on the steering wheel is broke and spins, thats why its positioned wrong, I asked my bro why its broke he said " I dont know "
Heres the interior after I tried to clean up what I could. Removed all the junk the previous owner threw in it. He had a damn 16" rim in the backseat instead of where it should be, on the car. Also there was some old papers and empty bags. This cleanup took 1 1/2 vaccume cycles, 6 rags from using 1 can of stain remover, and a steam machine that damn hear poored out pure muddy water.
________________________________New replacment restoration parts_________________________________
First I needed to be able to move it instead of towing it place to place so I started by ripping out the origional carburated 5.0L 305 engine for a swap. I swaped it for a 5.7L V8 LT1 and i gave it a little booster.... A Powerdyne supercharger!!! ( note: this is just a part of the kit all the others were small and there were alot of peices and I wasn't gonna waste my cameras film taking pics of em all ).
This Powerdyne supercharger kit is awesome. It has a real agressive scream going threw that LT1 that everyone walking on the sidewalks will stop in their tracks :) It sounds quiet with the deep sound of the exaust, but when that accelerator is rammed... man its loud. If you stand infront of the car and the gas is rammed ur legs feel weak and ur neck aches a lil haha
A brand new rebuilt automatic transmission also was needed.
Also I found out when driving, you gotta be able to stop lol... First time I had it running the brakes wouldn't work so I got new baer racing brakes with drilled & slotted rotors.
The coolant tank had a puntured hole in it so I needed a new coolant reservoir tank
Had to keep water out so i definatly had to reinstall new weather stripping.
Had to get a new rear Trans Am bumper to replace the rusted one.
New bumper fog lamps.
New taillights. These are stock 1985 - 1990 Trans Am taillights. Alot of people like them and ask where I got them from, well I'm glad they do like them and I got them here for $220.00 with $15.00 shipping, though if your looking for specific taillight they may be out of stock, but good luck!
New fiberglass rear spoiler.
I got a new rear hatch cause I dont want a rear brakelight on the hatch and I really didn't like the look the rear defroster had.
I was looking all over for a Trans Am hood. I got this hood in perfect condition primed and ready for paint. I was very lucky. I got it from my dads friend that has a '88 GTA. He replaced his hood with one of those fiberglass ram air hoods. So a friend and I went to look and see if it was just what I needed and it came home. He offered it for $80.00 and I bought it that minute. This was a hell of a deal, better than paying GM $500 with destination charge, or $300.00 with destination for a fake fiberglass one off the net. ( note: I didn't want a aftermarked fiberglass one because sometimes the alignment quality isn't always perfect with the bumper, fenders, and headlights ).
Definatly needed a new ground effect kit. Heres a dyagram.
New door handle decals
The faded t-tops that were retinted and trim painted jet black for $50.00 from a buddy of mine.
Heres the stock Trans Am rims. These are the optional aluminum 16" 20 slot wheels which require a special wrench located in the glove box to remove. I kept them because I like the way they look. They look awesome now. They are very dirty in the pics above but they look new now. Thanx to by buddy at the bodyshop for cleaning them up good!
Heres what it looked like after the new paintjob was on, windows tinted, and wheels restored ( note, the new spoiler isn't on because the paint got messed up and had to wait an extra day ).
What I had been waiting for awhile, just about the one thing the interior really needs, seats. Damn I wish I could have got a split rear seat instead of the solid back, but over the winter when I redo the interior to GTA tan, I might be able to get a split rear seat set unless I can only recover the rear seat.
I really needed a new dash pad. Mine was split and rotting, really . It broke in half when I removed it. I bought this one and primed and dyed it black.
New door armrests cause the origionals were scratched and chipped, I primed and dyed these grey. I also got grey door cupholders.

I dont have that ugly rear hatch brakelight anymore! But I did install A brakelight under the spoiler on 9/01/04.
Good rim pic. Within a few weeks i'll have tires for my gold GTA rims.
*note: The white swirls on top of the ground affect is just carwash soap*
Yep only 445 miles!
My Blaupunkt bpv 660 headunit and A/C controls.
My custom made kickpanels.
My sweet deep and loud sounding Flowmaster american thunder exaust system.
and the new and modified 5.7L V8 350 fuel injected LT1 from a 1993 Trans Am thats supercharged to 529 horsepower.
Listen to a engine sound clip of Prodject '86! Takes 1 minute to load on 56K modems
Heres my dyno test.
Heres what it looks like as of April 2005, the gold GTA rims and GTA badges are on! Also new fenders without the T/A vent in them. I drove over to a buddy of mine and he removed the white Firebird logos that were on the car ( i'm not good at that stuff ) Also when I got home I washed those tires immediatly to prevent dirt stain.
Heres some burnout pics!
The very nice remainders of my 82 foot burnout!
_________________________________________Latest news__________________________________________
I installed a brakelight under the spoiler ( like stock '87 - '90 T/As got ) done 9/01/04
I made my own custom front blackouts so the parking lamps would look blacked out. Also removed the front chrome Pontiac logo on the left headlight bezel. This all was a simple $10.00 mod, its just 5% tinted plexiglass pieces cut & glued on perfectly ( headlights flip up remember dont use 1 piece per headlamp ) Guarantee you wont see this often! done 11/17/04
Today Prodject '86 got a very high detailed wash and Zaino polish. It shines so good! 11/17/04
I'm almost done building a sub box taking all the hatch space ( deep deep bass that way! ) and within a few weeks i'll have two 12" JL Audio subs in. In process now and looking for a couple amps also, any suggestions? 11/26/04
I finally got the gold GTA rims on and they look much better than the old mag rims. I got em wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT-HRs this time, Goodyear has a much better grip to the road than BFGoodrich! Prodject '86 is looking more and more like a GTA now. Within the winter i'll put the GTA badges on. 11/26/04
Over the winter i'll get the GTA tan interior organized and comming. After KITT's 350 engine is in I will gut Prodject '86s' interior, replace the grey carpet with GTA tan, recover the headliner in GTA tan, and i'll just dye the plastic interior parts instead of having to spend more $$$ for panelings. I'm out on the look for GTA tan leather seats now. 12/03/04
Its snowing so hard outside now. Its about 5:20p.m. and the lights on the house are lit and all, the Trans Ams are in the 80 degree heated garage and shining as ever! They are now asleep for the winter. They will roar next spring when they wake up with even more mods! 12/12/04
