Here are some pictures of the custom grill I made for my car. I was tired of the Trenz grill, everybody has one anyway. I wanted something different, distinctive. I got to looking at the stock grill and thought that it had possibilities. So over the last 4 months, I cut, sectioned, sandblasted, added pieces, carved, sanded, painted and just generally re-designed the fugly stock grill, tranforming it into the custom one-off unit you see here.
The shiny part is a piece of 14 gage 306 stainlees steel, custom stamped with 1/2" diameter holes in a staggered pattern. I spent many hours polishing it to look like chrome. Of course, stainless is better than chrome, because it will NEVER RUST, no matter how dinged up it gets!
The following pictures show some of the steps I took in the process of building the grill.
