Shiny and New...
Spring '04 - Summer '04
=========================

After the Rampage returned from its first visit to the body shop, it was sanded and filled some more.

We were ready to apply a metallic black paint to the Rampage. It looked like this on its second visit.

The Rampage stayed overnight, and its "bandages" were removed. From far away, it looks like an ordinary glossy black, but at a certain angle, it changes to a sparkling gold color. To get technical, it's a top-of-the-line Sikkens basecoat/clearcoat metallic. This color was factory on the '86 Mazerati "Chrysler LeBaron."

Here's a close-up on the Miata door handle conversion. The camera's flash really makes the metallic black color pop!

The Rampage comes back home...
