When it's completed, this '83 Dodge Rampage will be my first car. My father and I are doing a "ground-up" restoration of this unique "trucklet" using an '87 Shelby Charger GLHS as a parts car. Officially, this car will be a Turbo II Shelby Clone Rampage. The goodies include all of the performance modifications originally done to the 1,000 GLHS cars at Shelby's "Skunkworks" plant in Whittier CA and more. It'll be intercooled, with braided stainless turbo cooling lines, 16 pounds of boost, 3" custom stainless exhaust, high-flow cat-converter, high lift cam, Mopar Performance stage II computer, Direct Connection side skirt package, custom bodywork and paint, oversized wheels, performance tires... and a great sound system too. (Now on Page 05!) Just check back for updates.

CSRampage290's 1983 Dodge Rampage

This is the Rampage after it was dropped off at my house sometime in November '03. It was taken off the road after its carburator caught fire. The car sat in my uncle's yard for seven years and was headed for the scrap yard when it was offered to me as a project car.

It was in pretty bad shape. The engine and interior were burnt, the floors were wet and rusted through ( the holes were big enough to fit my foot through!) and the entire thing was covered with tree sap and packed full of dirt, and pine needles. The Rampage would surely need more than just TLC and elbow grease to get back on the road...
