A "Frame Up Restoration" of a Miata pedal car. My plan is to make this pedal car look as much like my '92 Miata as possible.
I purchased this car about 10 years ago through an internet connection in Europe. The shipping cost more than the car did. For 10 years it has sat in my living room and the sun from the windows had faded the paint. I decided it was time for a little restoration so I removed the body from the frame and spent 10 minutes cleaning the frame. Since there was only carptet dust on it, repainting was not necessary, a damp rag made it look like new. It has never been driven so no drivetrain work was required.

I removed the parking lights and the decals for the mouth, windshield, tail lights and rear license plate and it was ready for the paint shop. You can see the area where the windshield decal was removed just how much the color had faded.
The steering wheel went up on the shop wall with a couple of Caterham 7 steering wheels and one from a Miata.
The body went off to Custom Auto in Loveland, Colorado (http://www.customautoloveland.com/index.asp?fuseaction=home) today for a new coat of '92 Miata Sunburst Yellow paint.
