scannon's 1992 Mazda Miata 1.6 Engine with FM II. This engine dyno'd at 243 HP at the rear wheels on a Dynojet. Unfortunately, a bearing spun at the track last November and I decided to make the 1.8 conversion instead of fixing this engine.

scannon's 1992 Mazda Miata 1.9 Engine with FM II. This engine is a '97 with a 1.5mm overbore, Wiseco forged pistons with a 9.0:1 CR & Carillo forged rods. Head and intake manifold are from a '99, ported and polished, unshrouded and cut back valves with a 3 angle valve job.

The turbo is the FM II GT28 ball bearing unit set for 15 psi. 550cc RC injectors. Complete FM turbo back exhaust system with high flow cat.

Cheers for that. That is a pretty decent sized turbo! I was thinking of a 28 series BB turbo. I was hoping for 200rwkw out of the 1.6L, but I don't think that is going to happen reliably. So I will probably either stroke it, or get a blown 1.8L and rebuild that with a stroker kit. In which case I would probably go with a 30 series BB turbo. Cheers for the info.
Just to let you know I'm from Australia, across the other side of the world :D Thanks for the website too.

Cheers,

Kendall
