I modified a pair of Q-Forms for my kick panels. The fit and finish of the kicks are very nice; much better than I could do. The only problem with them is they are rather flimsy. Since I am running a dedicated midbass woofers in the doors; the kick panel is crossed to 350Hz and up. I felt that I could reinforce the panels with MDF and get good results.
MDF rings were mounted to the plastic with contact cement. I then drilled pilot holes through both the Q-Form and the MDF and mounted my 5-inch Morel MW-144. The end result was very nice, the kicks are rock solid and sound great.

I made a pair of MDF spacer rings for my midbass speakers using my Jasper circle jig and plunge router. The MDF was treated with two coats of polyurethane to protect it from moisture. The rings are mounted to the door frame with three bolts.
The Ti Elite 6-inch mids are made by Morel Israel and are a good match tonally to my midranges. Compared to my Koda mids; the Elites are every bit as punchy in the midbass region, but they are a bit louder given the same amount of power. Overall, they were much easier to mount given the lower depth requirements and mounting terminals on the speakers.
