6/27/04: Just acquired this 80 coupe from a friend. It's not much to look at right now, but that will change soon. The left rear quarter panel skin needs to be replaced, but other than that, this coupe is pretty straight for the most part.
mega potential there ... dont give up ... i have an 80 mustang myself (my second one) ... having a little bit of difficulty finding some interior parts ... keep going and lets see update pics
I can see the potential there. My advice (not that you asked) is to mix it up a little. You know, flush side glass from an '87-'93, rear lights from a 1984, lights/grille from a 1986. All painted up it'd look unique. And I like the quad light grill the best. (I should trade you, I have a 1992)! Unless, that sounds stupid then do what I do and just get whatever you can afford! See my old Stang and tell me what ya think. Later!
no the car doesnt have a motor in it, or anything else for that matter. i didn't pay for this car either. i can't really decide which direction i want to go with it as far as going with the four-eyed look or the 87-93 look. im getting a 302 rebuilt right now, and am wanting to put the weiand supercharger on top of that for a carb set up.
Hey, you should talk to my friend, he restored an 84 LX Coupe, ask him if you have any questions. If I were you, I'd either keep the front clip you have, or get say an 84 clip, or an 88 and up one, cause the origional clip from 1980 wasn't the best looking one you could find. Let me know when you get more pics. My friend is scot_mackenzie on my friends list. Good luck with your car. Later on
