mattt1986CVPI's 1997 Ford Crown Victoria

This fine automobile be a 1997 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It's got a 4.6 V8 outputting around 225 horses. I bought it from a Lake County (IL) Sherriff's deputy who bought it from the City of Park Rigde where it had a cushy job as the meter maid's car. The deputy's wife said NO-NO to another project car, so he was looking to get rid of it before the divorce papers were filed. So I got it for a really good price, about $2k off of bluebook. All-in-all the car is in really good shape....it only had 79K miles as opposed to most you can find at auction (90-100k.) It has a cloth-and-carpet interior which makes it a little cushier inside. I had about $500 of pre-maintainance on it, and it runs like a dream.

Mods are simple, but include:
- Crown Victoria badge replaced with more intimidating "POLICE INTERCEPTOR" decal ripped off from wrecked cruiser in junkyard.

- Chrome wheel trim

- Center console

- JVC head unit and Sony XPL?D speakers

Future mods include
- Electronics rack with components from my last car (CB, airhorn, scanner, etc)
- Antennae for said electronics
- Warning lighting (amber DashLaser and rear hideaway strobes) in compliance with local and state laws, of course.
- Chrome exhaust tips

Mods only to happen after I fall upon a large sum of money
- Mounted laptop computer
- Dual Flowmaster exhaust
- ADTR cold-air intake system
- Supercharger (475 hp! Woah!)
