FINISHED...4G63T AWD CONVERSION

silvercoupe97's 1997 Dodge Avenger

You can find me in one of several places, but I frequent DSMFTW.COM most of the time.

It's a place for both 4g63t versions. Come check it out and tell them I sent ya.

#2 of 3 AWD turbo Avengers ripping the streets!....soon to be 4 and the numbers are still climbing

Keep posted because I will have new pics of the new project. A little here, a little there :), ok...a lot here and a lot there :D

Before the reverse glow gauges but with the HVAC white gauges and LED conversion. The HVAC is brighter than what this picture shows. The red however doesn't show up at night, I just know it's there.

After the Otto racing gauges. The bottom left pic was taken after replacing the plain bulbs with blue LEDs (turn indicators, cruise, and CEL)

Here's a better pic of my Pioneer Premier DEH-P930 at night

This is my newest mod as of 8/13/04

Ok, here's the Eclipse console conversion
Before and after

Here's another view of after

It's a little more rounded than the Venge console which felt a little too refined, the Eclipse console is also about 2-3 inches shorter in overall length. The radio is leaned back more than original. The Eclipse console also provides a double din slot as opposed to the Avenger/Sebring single din and a half slot. The Eclipse console just feels sportier.

Ok, I did another modification this time to the radio mount. I didn't like the way the radio stuck out, the gap around the radio plus I couldn't mount the trim ring around the radio and it just looked "off" to me so I modified the mount so I could use the trim ring and now the radio is flush with the Eclipse storage tray.

Before, the radio stuck out about 15MM. You can kind of see a gap around the radio too.

After, the radio sticks out about 2MM. No more gap and with a trim ring

Here's another mod to the center console. I removed the cig lighter and replaced it with a voltmeter.
