The GLHS cars did not get a blow-off valve from Shelby. With the exhaust now flowing much better, a blow-off valve was now mandatory to prevent compressor surge, so a Turbo XS Type H blow-off valve was spliced into the lower intercooler hose. This works well while helping to maintain a stock-looking engine.
With the added power, traction on the street was now a problem, so a set of DOT-approved BF Goodrich G-Force drag radials (205/50x15) were mounted on factory Centurion I wheels. In 2009, I retired these tires in favor of more correct looking Goodyear tires. SEE PAGE 19.
My first dog sure liked the car.
My good friend Jessica never really liked the GLHS as much as other cars I have owned, but she's a hot chick so what can you expect?
