Interior

I am using a Panasonic 7200 as my TV tuner, dvd player, MP3cd player and tuner. The flip out LCD is fantastic quality. The only thing keeping this product from being the best I have ever seen is the fact that it chokes ejecting most disks.

The Custom face mounting kit was fabricated by Mike at Ultimate Electronics
The ashtray has been replaced with a button panel. The illuminated red knob to the far left is the bass knob for the sub amp. The momentary button in the middle is to power on/off the computer. The toggle switch to the far right turns on/off the Xbox and power inverter used to power the xbox and computer.

The Panasonic Unit plays DVD Video. Here are some pics of the Family guy DVDs

The Computer
I installed an old laptop into the trunk of the car along with an 80gb external USB hard drive.
As you can see I am using Windows XP and Windows Media Player for playing videos and MP3s in my car.
A screenshot of the navigation software I use on the computer. This software supports GPS devices for navigational purposes.

This is the Keyboard and mouse that made it all possible. A wireless RF gyromouse with a rechargeable Nimh battery (I haven't yet built the charger into the car) and a tiny wireless RF keyboard with media buttons (so I can faster access next and previous tracks and other functions)
The Xbox

I am using a modded xbox with a 250 gb drive to play mp3s, movies, video clips, pretty much all my media files, and Xbox video games. This is a photo of the Xbox media player that I have my xbox set up to boot too.
In the Xbox media player (XBMP) You choose what you would like to play music, movies, or pictures. Once you have chosen you can either get them off of a remote computer (thru wireless networking), your local hard drive, or your dvdrom. Hopefully these photos explain it better than I can.
The video can be fullsized for viewing. Once the video is fullsized it looks identical to full sized windows media player
When you are playing music and you hit the fullsize button XBMP will play a fullscreen visualization for the music. Similar to Windows media player.
Playlists are also very easy to create and manage inside of XBMP with one button a track can be added to a playlist.
I use a Logitech wireless RF controller to operate the xbox. I plan on eventually running an IR repeater and using the Xbox dvd remote for this instead of the controller but I have not had time.
The logitech controller fits inside of the center console of my RL. along with the gyromouse (not pictured)
For people in the rear all they have to do is open up the console and reach back and grab a controller or two.

More for the backseat drivers

In both headrests I installed accelivision swivel monitors. The monitors have great image quality for a price that cannot be beat for the price.
The way I have my system set up the Screen in the front can be watching TV while the pair in the back can play XBox. The rear people can jack in headphones if they would like to hear there game instead of the drivers TV.
If your wondering where I put all the equipment go on to the next page.
