Here's the OLD FIRST Page... This entire install and tune up was done by Generis Custom Metalworks in Arnprior Ontario, and it looks and works great!! Call 613-797-8525 for your install and tuneup.
The Ranger is Awesome! Some new updates are that I have been towing a trailer alot recently, and at about 2500 lbs, it's alot because of it's 5 x 8 flat face. But the Ranger has come through again, and pulls it like nothing! The Leer Cap is on it now too to try to help with the aerodynamics. It's also Caymen Green. Another change of late is that the exhaust Shown below is now gone! I opted for something big but quiet, and it now sports 3 inch header collectors- as before- into 2 x 2.5 inch and y'd into one 3 inch with one 3 inch muffler and tailpipe out the back. Personally, I like this MUCH better, and it still sounds great and doesn't wake the neighbors. New Pics coming soon!
Here's the beast, it is not the cleanest right now, but great to drive none the less!! Nice exhaust! The way it is set up, in OD at 60 mph the engine turns at 1550. It's actually good on gas (when using cruise control). I am getting 18 MPG
Page 1, Current looks, Page 2-6, Swap info. This is the Old intake system.. Now has a 3 inch inlet tube and cold air conical filter behind headlight.
The rad was made custom to my spec by Ralph at Valley Rad in Beachburg, Ontario. This man is a genius, a gentleman, and a craftsman. If you are in the area, give him your support. This guy made my rad out of nothing and his advice to install, and flow rate/fan advice is invaluable. Thanks! This setup works so well I was in downtown traffic for an hour stop and go on a 31deg C day and the fan only came on twice for about 30 seconds. I have been towing a heavy flat face trailer (5x8 feet wide) alot and this rad still hasn't let the temp needle move at all.
The exhaust is a set of headers made from 1 7/8 tubing and into 3 inch collectors. Wayne at the local Mister Muffler shop put on 2 resonators and a Walker Dynomax 17725 which is a 2 in and 2 out single muffler. Wayne made all the joining pipes, and stuck it out right where I wanted it! Thanks, Wayne! ** NEW ** This exhaust has been replaced by a 2.5 to 3 inch y, no resonators, and one complete 3 inch system out the back, and man, is it sweet now! Thanks again, Wayne!
