i have beaten a stock stang before and i beat him by like a car in a half. we were both stock too. i cant beat the guy you were talkin about now but if we were stock i would, and when i get my 450 horse crate motor I will even be able to smoke him now. ford cant keep up with pontiac and chevy. ford never could. The gt500 was their greatest success. pontiac had the gto and the trans, and lemans, formula, gta, and chevy had so many successes I cant even name them. All i have to say is corvette and chevelle ss 454, and nova. and most important the 68 camaro z28

My car has around 208 horse and thats crappy for a trans but you have to take in cosideration that in the 80's they had emission controls on like all the cars. my car especially. i have the off year for the trans when it comes to stock horsepower. But you cant just base it on horse. i have 270 lb of torque, 250 stock. I can take off some of the things that are taken over by emissions and gain a butt load of horse. i should get a great amount of horse if i just take off the air conditionor. i dont need it because i have t-tops. and my car ways alot and that is a big factor but if i can beat really light cars like i have before than that tells you that the car has some balls. i do like your stang alot, im not hating on it im just letting you know the facts about which one will overcome.
