This is my new car. It is a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It has the Rocket 350 that puts out 180 hp and 275 ft/lbs of torque.
It is all original except a repaint ( body, trunk and underside), the plain steel wheels with spoke hubcaps were replaced with the ones you see in the pictures, and an engine detailing and clean up. The interior is untouched. It has an AM/FM stereo, AC and the optional cloth bench seat. My guess is the original owner decided against the buckets beacause he wanted the armrest. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures (again, taken on a PDA), but it does have a vynil top.
The car was assembled at the Texas plant and was purchased in NC. It spent its life there until it moved to the Chicago area 2 years ago. It has no rust at all and only 75,551 miles.

Yesterday I bought and installed a K&N in the cutlass. I haven't had a chance to test it out at wide open throttle yet. With tax it was $51.10, but I never need to replace it and it improves power and efficiency.
Last week, over 3 days, the car recived what I call "The Treatment." First a polishing compound, then a glaze, and finally a wax. Same prouducts used on the Mercury on page 1. Today, 7-19-04, it recieved another coat of wax.

Original Protecto-plate, dealer tag and manual booklet:

Original dealer tag before...

Original dealr tag after I restored it!

In the garage. Oh yeah, the car next to it is my dad's 68 Charger. It was restored as a 440 R/T clone.

The Charger:

No mods to the Cutlass; it is mostly all original and I plan on keeping it like that. The Charger is also in need of nothing. If anything, a few cosmetic details to make it even closer to a real R/T.
