I've wanted a 308 since 1981, but I thought I'd end up with a red one. Decided to look for a more rare factory color and here you have it! Purchased in March of 1998 from second owner. Color is prugna (say prunia) with tan interior, current odometer: 42,000 miles. Rather expensive to maintain, but a blast to drive! Has won 2 first places in class at Concorso Italiano in Monterey: 1998 & 2001.
Currently looking for a fun, but fast, daily driver. Don't want to drive my '02 Chevy 2500HD truck with pitiful gas mileage everyday and the Mercedes is for sale. Probable replacement: 2001 BMW M roadster. Should be affordable ($25K) and I'll upgrade a few things: wheels, exhaust, etc. You know, just make it look and sound meaner :).
Below is my current daily driver: '92 Mercedes 300E Sportline and below that, the M roadster I want. Pretty wild interior, eh? Well since the Ferrari isn't red, shouldn't one of my cars be?

Ok, update as of Sept. 09. I've sold the Ferrari. You know, when someone offers you a bit more than it's probably worth? Well that happened so I sold it, but, I didn't get the BMW M roadster, I got a 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP brand new in fall of '07 for my birthday. BIG surprise from my husband! Anyway, I put different wheels on it, got the carbon fiber dash kit, but no other upgrades, no time and limited finances. Now looking to get a newer, used truck. Oh yeah, I gave the Mercedes to my husband to use at his business as a loaner car :-(. I miss driving it sometimes, but then I have the Solstice. Not a bad trade off.

Nice 308. I've never seen one in that color but it looks really good. Good luck with getting the M Roadster too. Sign my g-book. Thanks!

We are a rare breed! I have the same car, but you already pointed that out. I don't get on here too often, but I was looking at yours today. Funny coincedence - I have a 1978 Mercedes 280CE and a 2002 BMW M Coupe, which is the coupe version of the Roadster you want. We seem to have simialr taste in cars. I think I'll post my M Coupe.
