this page is to help others put an sr in their s12. I have bin getting lots of emails with people wanting to know what it takes. so here you go. I just started working on this page and I decided to start with the hardest part the wiring. I made this diagram on how to wire up the engine harness .next I will add a basic list of what you need and what needs to be fabricated .then I will get into more detailed info on how to get all the gauges to work, and a step by step of the swap.

trans mount and drive shaft
the mount consists of the s13 rubber mount that bolts directly to the trans, and the ca mount and some angle steal. the stock mount is about an inch or 2 off I forget exactly. but all you do is cut the flat parts off the mount where it bolts to the car making sure it is cut square. then you weld the steal on offset so you have some thing to drill holes in for the bolts. make sure you keep it at the same height so the trans will be at the rite angle. you will have to cut out the floor around the shifter to accept the whole rectangle plate on the sr trans that the shifter comes out of. it will stick up into the car a little. as for the drive shaft get a one piece drive shaft made. it should cost around 250 for a steel one and around 450 for aluminum. call your local drive shaft shop and they will tell you how to measure for a new one. different shops use different ways to measure it. the sr trans uses the same splines as a 240. cant remember if its the same splines as the s12 but that's easy to check .
