Hi, i have a metro '92 C and have just instaled two Alpine SXE-1750S 17cm component speakers in the door panels. Like you i had the same problem with their depth interfeering with the window frame but instead of attaching them to the mesh cover i drilled in a wooden frame to pull them out a bit if you get what i mean. The only problem is that i still have the original radio and wiring. This means that there is A. Little Bass and bad quality (obv i just need a new radio) B. intermittent cut'outs in the sound when im driving. It seems like this is to do with a loose connection but i cant find any!! do you have any suggestions, any help would be appreciated. p.s. do you know of any other simple things i could do to spice up my metro, ive become quite attached to it but would like to improve, especialy if there are some simple performance mods. i can do, im no mechanic but i do have a brain :) Thanks a heluva lot, James Andren andrenalin@gmail.com
