rear window switch led replacement
this mod required somewhat precise soldering so if you do not
have experience with soldering than dont mess up your switches!

materials:
-small flathead screwdriver
-soldering iron
-solder
-leds (2-one for each rear door) 3v i used 5mm which will work but 3 mm will also work, may be easier to work with
-solder wick
-steady hand and patience

1.remove window switch and take apart using small screwdriver

2.locate the led to be changed its marked led1 on the board.

3.CAREFULLY remove the old led. i recommend using solder wick
available at radio shack, usually a "solder sucker" isnt very
effective with surface mount things. after removal there will
be 4 terminals the ones you will use will be (according
to the picture) the top left (which is +) and the bottom right
(which is -)

4.trim the terminals so that the led will sit no higher than
7/16" off the board. i put one blob of solder on one of the
terminals on the board and held the led there and hit the
blob with the soldering iron to hold it it place. than solder
the other leg of the led to the board !make sure to observe
polarity of the led!


5. as long as the rubber piece fits over the led and sits against
the board everything will work fine.
