mjklm's 1987 Suzuki Samurai

Here is my 1987 Suzuki Samurai in Coyote Canyon. It is a daily driver that we get pretty rowdy in. It is our offroad vehicle that sees quite a bit of use in the desert and also around town.

I have spent a lot of time building the suspension to the way I want it. It is SPOA sitting on YJ springs with long drop shackles. I have long travel shocks. It is re-geared it with 4.86's in the T-Case and stock open diff's.

Powered by a 1.6 Liter EFI. Not a lot of miles on the new engine yet.

I have a Calmini rack on top and that has opened up new worlds as we can actually pile stuff atop for camping. I am fabricating a bumper now to accomidate my winch. That in and of itself is a major project.

That's a great Samurai. The 4.86 t-case is a great mod. I did the 6.5. You should post pics of the suspension. The rack is cool.

Hey thanks for the comment. Your rig looks great. Your not too far where is Coyote Canyon and is it a challenging. Have you hear of TDS? It happens the first week of March. Its a huge offroad event and Madzuks have been attending for almost 10 years. Look forward in hearing from you and some more pics. Peace.
