bold LET THE REPAIRS BEGIN!
The first repair is to the rack / as in Rack & Pinion Steering. After observing the power steering pump res. go empty several times in a week I was forced to take the car to a mechanic to check out the problem. Unfortunately I could not raise the car high enough to be able to do the work myself.

RESULTS: New rack = $180.00
Labor... = $300.00
4 Whl.Alg. $ 79.00

TOTAL $597.00

(Includes all taxes and fluid costs).

Total cost of vehicle now = $2,197.00

NEXT PROJECT / AC REPAIR & CONVERT

OK, Don't let the local AC shop play with your AC system and charge you Megga $$$ if you aren't getting cold AC. Run down to your local parts store and buy a retro-fit 134-A kit and convert your system for $29.00!
Yep, $29.00 and about 15 min. of your time. Also, don't believe the B.S. about taking your car in to have the syst. evacuated. Just get an oven mit from the wife and a long screw driver. Remove the cap from the high side port of the compressor / slowly press in on the valve with the screw driver and when the hissing stops, your system is purged. Next clean the port threads with a rag, screw on the supplied adapters, connect the recharge hose to the low side and two to two and a half cans later your AC will be cold as can be and way more effecient than ever!
GOOD LUCK!

Nice car I love my LeBaron. Come check it out when i get some pics up. As for your question I'm not sure if this helps or not but when the top is down pull those 2 levers you used to unlatch it when it was up. That makes the latches not stick up so you won't have to worry about them poking thru the boot. Hope that helps.

I need some help with the top. It comes up ok but I have to have someone hold the switch while I put the pegs in the holes and latch it. Shouldn't be that hard, can't do it by myself. Do you know of anybody that knows anything about the Lebaron tops. Do you know if it might be the pump or pistons. I've thought about putting a 3 position switch in place of the momentary one that's in there. Any thoughts or ideas.
