The plan:
Take a some what 'riced out' car (as some would call it, I call it 'show inspired'), and change it into a subtle, JDM dream machine... I think im about half way there now... ;) Just needs some paint... Not that theres anything wrong with the show look, I happen to love it... I just want to go with a more subtle, "less is more" approach on my car... Anyways, I hope you enjoy my page, as much as I did making it... And dont forget, it all goes beginning to end... Bought some black housing projector lights and corner lights... Cant wait till they come in! But be sure to check back, soon as I get that installed I will snap some pics! Oh I also bought some JDM CRX side marker lights... I need to install those aswell... Just cant bring myself to cutting holes in my fenders yet... Actually I need to make a template and then I can begin...

I also added my brother's Accord to page 22, and since Im at a loss as to what to do now, I added a poll... The rims I would like could possibly cost more, or about the same price as an engine swap... So I added those 2 options since those are probably my next major upgrades...

Finally got the black housing corners and head lights installed... With alot of problems I might add... Most of which were my fault... First problem is, I got the projectors thinking I could go HID some day, well theres a big sticker on the side that (in non english I might add) says something about "no H.I.D.", so I guess an HID upgrade is out of the question... Second problem, well it would appear that the head lights on the CRX from 88-89 and 90-91 are different, I knew this was true for the corner lights, but didnt for the head lights... Well when I bought them, I didnt look at the year, I got the head lights in the mail, installed the driver's side, and well the corner light dosnt fit... Those who dont know know the 88-89s snap in on the front, and screw in on the back (visible from the outside), and the newer models screw in on the front and slide in on the back (no visible screws)... I thought I was going to have to send the headlights back and get the 90-91s, well before I did that and lost some money on shipping, I decided to try and swap the brackets, sure enough it worked... So for those who screw up like I did and get the 88-89 for the 90-91, and vice versa, U CAN TAKE THE BRACKETS AND SWAP THEM OUT! The last problem I had was when I was trying to force the 90-91 corner on the 88-89 bracket, I broke the peice that screws in at the top, so I had to glue that back on... Well after all that their finally on, I just need to adust them, and take some pics... I also ordered some new wheels, I bought a set of Enkei 5+ form www.discounttire.com, they should be here Friday... I will probably wait till I get them installed and then to snap some Pics of the car... I cant wait... ;)
Oh and I also got a template in to cut the JDM side markers, thanks to an eBay user, great guy, sent me the template for free all the way from New Zealand... Thanks Henry!

Got the wheels in, had some issues with the lug nuts tho, I got 3 of the wheels installed and broke the lug nut key... So I have to wait to drive the car, and to install the 4th wheel... But I did snap some pics, see page 4... I also changed the layout of the car domain site, made a few other modifications to it...

Got the new lug key in, and finally got my wheels on... I also did some other things Thursday while I was waiting on my key to come in... I bought some flat black spray paint and painted the fading area above the doors (it was whitish, u can see it in some of the pics), also painted the windshield wipers... Car looks 10x better now... Last thing I wanna paint is the cracking paint are above the hatch... Its peeling revealing the chrome beneath... I want it flat black like its supposed to be... I also added some future plans... ;)

Installed a new head unit, a much better one... Its a Clarion DRX9675z, great unit... My brother was buying it from someone, but sold it to me instead cuz it didnt play MP3s... Which is fine with me... I also installed the a headlight warning buzzer today... A great mod for any CRX owner who tends to forget they have their headlights on!

Bought and installed a radar detector, its a Whistler 1740, works great! Cops have gotten really bad around here lately, which is why I finally got one... Still havnt installed the side marker lights... But I did buy an EF8 SiR wing! Can't wait till it gets here! But I will have to get it painted and installed... But more pics too come, when it does get here!

My girlfriend got me an SPAL power window kit for our anniversary... I installed it yesterday... Its probably my favorite mod so far! I suggest anyone who has a CRX, and is tired of the manual windows, to buy this kit! I got the one with illuninated switches...

Put up pics of the SPAL power window kit... I also ordered an eBay special (cheapo), Cold Air Intake, for the CRX... I plan to get a K&N air filter ASAP, I hear any intake, with a K&N filter, is like paying $180+ for an AEM kit... So why pay that much more for a pretty blue pipe eh? Anyways, soon as that comes in, I will get some pics, and then how it looks installed... And post up how it does as far as any HP gains... I dont expect much tho, I hear they do add nice tone to the engine tho, which is mainly why im doing it... I also changed the car's nick name to "Katsumoto", got the idea from the movie "The Last Samurai", his name was "Katsumoto", and since everyone else with a CRX has Crex, or C-REX, or similar, Id try and be a lil different... And its a Japanese name, so it fits the 'JDM style' im going with my car... ;)

Got the Cold Air Intale in today, installed it... It was easy to install, pretty straight foward... I didnt get to install it like I wanted too, I wanted to install it as a short ram for now, tucked behind the battery, but it wouldnt fit, so I had to add the down pipe, and use it as a cold air... Which is good for performance, not so good for the engine, I am actually missing my splash gaurd down there, so it will probably suck water into the engine... So will have to get the splash gaurd asap! I didnt get to drive it much yet, but I will update with any noticable performance gains... It definately sounds louder at higher RPMs... Seems a tad quicker too... But I didnt get to get on it like I wanted too, cuz I tested it in rush hour traffic... :( Anyways, see page 9 for pics!

I have been driving the car now with the cold air intake for 9 days, and I definately notice a difference.. Its not much, but definately worth the money I paid, and time it took to install it! I have now moved to the rear of the car... My mufflers exhaust tip, and underside are rusted out, and it causes an annoying fart sound when I accelerate... So I have ordered a new axle-back exhaust system... I opted for the Tenzo-R Touring style, because it looks stock, and should sound pretty good, and not so much like a fart can... I wanted something to look stock, and not sit on the wrong side of the car (since CRX exhausts go back towards the passenger side rear wheel, and then turn towards the drivers side and then back out on the drivers side, I wanted to keep that same design... And this muffler does... And it was a decent price... Only $169 after shipping... So I went ahead and got it... Cant wait till it comes in!!

Finally got a decent digital camera... Its an HP Photosmart R707 5.1 Megapixel... I took a few pics of the car, see the most recent pics at the top of the page... ;) Unfortunately, Car domain does degrade the pic quality... But it is still far better than the old camera! According to the tracking number, by muffler should be here tommorrow, I cant wait to install it and snap some pics!

Finally installed the JDM side marker lights... I also, against my better judgement, purchased an OEM style carbon fiber hood, not exactly what I wanted (I wanted a ZC style hood), but it was cheap, so I bought it... It should be in any day now...

Bought and installed a new Momo Shot shift knob... See pg 13... I also got a red H emblem to put on my CF hood... And a replica JDM license plate... I couldnt find a real one, for a decent price, and in good shape... There are some problems with it, hopefully the guy I bought it from will send me another... They stamped the prefect backwards... See pg 14 for some temporary pics of the plate on, and the new red emblem...

After alot of problems, I finally got my CF gas door in, and installed it... See page 16 for pics... I also repaired my seats (they were ripped, and covered with neoprene seat covers)... I also finally decided on an engine swap... I am busy peicing that together now... Its not exactly what I wanted, but it should be more than enough for now, and has plenty of potential for future upgrades... Its a D15B SOHC VTEC... I plan on doing it right, doing an OBD1 conversion and the whole 9 yards... So check back for my progress! Engine itself, should be here tommorow actually... ;)

Installed slotted and cross drilled brembo rotors and new pads up front... And bought stainless braided brake lines (not installed yet)...

Installed all new 6 1/2" Polk audio speakers all around, and tweets up front... As well as a new Audiobahn amp to push them... Also removed the Clarion, and reinstalled the old Sony... The Clarion got too picky and would skip... I also had a custom 2.25" mandrel bent pipe center peice installed to fix my exhaust leak... So now my exhaust sounds 10x better... So now its got 2.25" piping all the way from the headers back... Only thing stock is the CAT...

Well because of an unfortunate incident with my hood, the highway, and some moron (me) forgetting to latch it properly, I had to buy a new windsheild, sun roof assembly, and hood... Since I had to buy a new hood, I went ahead and bought a ViS SiR CF hood... I also installed Sparco hood pins while I was at it, since Im not paranoid of my hood flying up again... Pics of the new hood are on pg 21... I also bought and installed a set of EF8 Stanley clear corners...

Well havnt been updating lately because I havnt really upgrading anything... Just doing replacement wear and tear parts mostly... But I did install a 135amp high output alternator... And I also replaced my front suspension, and at the same time I ditched the dropzone coil overs in favor of some Tein S. Tech springs... It rides so much nicer now! The only down side is the front sits higher than the rears (and no they arent on backwards) I dont know whats wrong with them... Im hoping they will settle... I also FINALLY installed my stainless steel brake lines...

In an attempt to get rid of the stripes, I painted my roof black... It came out ok... Not as good as planned... But it looks better than the damn stripes... See page 23 for pics of the process...

Its been a long 2 years since I have updated the page... Alot has happened to the CRX since then... I have swapped in a JDM B20B, purchased a B16 head and plan to go CRVTEC... Many other small changes have happened to the car... But it looks mosty like it does in the pics... Its in serious need of paint now, as the clear is chipping, and the hood needs attention (starting to haze up)... I will have to get some new pics up soon...
Future plans: *UPDATED*
1. Take off the alteezas, they leak, and install maybe the stock tails, or if possible some JDM CRX tail lights. (done see pg 3)
2. Install a nice set of JDM wheels... Volk, Mugen, maybe even a set of Rotas... (done see pg 20)
3. Install an CRX SiR EF8 wing... (half done, see pg. 7)
6. Either some stanley EF8 corners or amber corners (not the cheapy looking ones, but the ones with the solid lenses)... (done see pg 21)
7. Eventually, a B18C5 swap or turbo the D15B VTEC...
8. JDM EF8 front end converion... (done see pg. 19)
9. Some new seats, either JDM Recaros, or some nice replacement CRX SI, or other OEM Honda seats that may fit...
10. Carbon fiber hood for the EF8 front end... (done see pg 21)
11. Body work, and a new spray job... I will be taking the racing stripe off ONCE AND FOR ALL!
12. SPAL power window kit... (done see pg. 8)

For the most part, I dont race my car... Its on a rare occasion... But in the event I do, here are the outcomes...
1984 BMW 318i vs. Eclipse (unknown model and yr but 92-96 maybe?) = loss (This was a few yrs back, one night on my way to pick my g/f up from work, I was annoyed because fuckers kept trying to race a car that was older than they were (3 in one night!)... So finally I said fuck it, and went for it... Obviously I lost horribly... But then I got on it in higher speeds and passed him... I obviously pissed him off... So he then started chasing us... When he caught up and got ahead of me he started pumping his brakes trying to make me rear end him... What a dumbass...hahaha)
1991 CRX Si vs. Dodge Ram V8 = win (Dodge Ram was my brother's g/f's truck and she was driving... At first it was just a joke, but when the light turned green, we both went for it... I won, but not by much...)
1991 CRX Si vs. 1999 Accord V6 = n/a (I havent raced my brother's Accord yet... Im scared... lol But when I get the balls too, I will update this...lol)
