This is my last vehicle before my SRT-4. 1998 Dakota R/T. I had it for 6 years and loved it. I did many mods to it. The reason I got ride of it is that the R/Ts dont compete in power to most trucks on the market now and it had terrible gas mileage, sick of that. It didnt handle worth a dame in bad weather either. I would have kept it if it would have come stock with over 300 hp and that would have been easy for Dodge to have done with that 5.9L, then I could understand only getting 11.5 mpg city like I was getting.

This was my first car, old, used and a hand-me-down from my older brother. 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus, basically the same car as the Plymouth Roadrunner. 318 c.i. V8, Slapstick auto transmission.
This was my first NEW car, a 1986 Pontiac Sunbird GT, with a whooping 85 horse power 1.8 litter 4 cylinder engine, single over head cam, fuel injected with a 5 speed manual transmission. The car looked great for the time but couldnt haul ass if you made five trips.
In my humble opinion, 1986 and 1987 were the best looking Sunbird's ever made and way better looking than the Sunfire. And also the 1986 and 1987 Chevrolet Caviler Z24 were the best looking Z24s ever built in my opinion. These cars had the best-looking taillights of all the Sunbirds & Z24s. The Sunbirds taillights were similar to the Trans Am taillights at the time. The Sunbird had better looking pop up headlight covers then the latter model Sunbirds. I would love to have one of these Sunbird GT's or Z24 in mint condition with my SRT-4 engine in it.
