This is my 97 Olds Aurora GTX. GTX U ask? YEP!! A GTX!!.
. I rebadged this Olds myself and dubbed it a GTX for all the mods that I have done to it. I thought it would be interesting to have an Aurora that no one else was driving. The paint is still the original factory with one exception that I added a bigger flake job in the paint. Three coats of clear coat to give it that "Wet Look" when the sunlight hits it. The rims are just a mild mannered 17" instead of the 18's I wanted.
The wife said "no") I am not finished yet, and I just bought a second Aurora that I am installing the same ground effect kit that is on this one. Rebadging this car took awhile, trying to find a local metal company that would make the same emblem and not face the legal side was a headache! But it was done.
This car took me about 3 months to finish. I have always loved the Aurora's because of the way the body design rolls with the curves...It's curves are like that of a beautiful woman with an hour glass figure...
Getting the horsepower up was chore too. I had to drive 83 miles to find the Flowmaster Exhaust that I needed. Only to find out that they didn't fit and I had to have pipe welded to give it the custom fit that was needed. I am still improving!
Inside is a pleasure to look as well, I have custom fitted two 6.2 monitors in the headrest with a Orion DVD player to run them both(Gotta love Wal-mart)! Fitting them in the headrest was a real challange...I had to have it done professionally at an upolstery shop. Don't tell my wife...
