I bought My Avalanche in February 2003. Originally, I was looking for a reasonablly priced Tahoe, but could not find one in my price range. The Av ws on display in the showroom and was the first thing that you saw when you came in. I bought it used (47k miles) and the price was right. I was just concerned about how it handles in the snow with it being rear wheel drive.
I test drove the truck and was convinced that the traction control as well as the overall weight of the truck will keep it from slipping and sliding. Took a little while getting used to the red, but it is quite a show stopper when it is cleaned up with some Meguire's car wax and some tire shine. Just bought some new Goodyear tires and just had XM radio installed. Now if we can get the gas mileage down, I would truly be in estacy. Oh well, I love it anyway!
