ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi EclipseNight shot. I have a dimmer so the screen doesn't light up the entire car at night.
ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi EclipseThe computer is just a standard small form factor PC. I use win2000 for it's hibernate feature. It copies RAM to the hard drive on shutdown, and resumes where it left off on startup. It takes aobut 30 seconds to boot.
ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi EclipseThe comptuer is powered by an inverter and a standard ATX power supply. The small capacitor is to keep the comptuer on during car startup and shutdown.
ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi EclipseAll of the wires were run under the carpeting to the trunk. The only signs of a computer from the inside are the screen and a small power button on the dash.
ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2x40 amp for the interior speakers (Blaupunk 5 1/4") and a 2x100 for the subs. Nothing special. The computer's signal goes directly from the Extigy sound card to the amps.
ArbyBean's 1996 Mitsubishi EclipseThe subs face the front, and fire through the thin, foam back seat. The setup is plenty loud, the two 10" subs and 2x100 amp can hit 130dB. I balanced the system with a sound meter and it sounds great. The bass is solid but not overpowering. It can barely be heard outside the car at high volumes, unlike systems that fire into the trunk.

That LCD looks REAL good! Very nice and clean looking too. I wish I could do something like that in my car.
