My first computer setup. Display was a 4x40 character lcd, and the buttons changed tracks. This is just here so you can see what the dash looked like before.I attacked the dash with a dremel to make room for the lcd. No turning back now.I mounted the screen to a wegde I made out of MDF. It is screwed down to the factory radio mount. The touchscreen and lcd controllers are mounted to the back of the MDF. A monitor cable and serial cable for the touchscreen run from here to the trunk. I made a mold out of water-based clay... ... and fiberglassed over it. I washed off the water-based clay, leaving the fiberglass shell. Lots more work to go to get a finished product.

Yo i love your car. Especially the computer thingy. Come check out my Firebird and tell me if i can do something like that on it and how much it will cost. It just looks sweet..

That LCD looks REAL good! Very nice and clean looking too. I wish I could do something like that in my car.

That's smooth! I owned one but i traded for a 1988 Chevy Nova, not really a great deal if you ask me.
