My 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I got this car in 1999 with 36,000 miles on it. It's going to hit 100,000 in 2004. It's not fast, but it's fast enough to be fun. I take it autocrossing, and have fun on curvy backroads.
This is my only car, and it's been quite reliable. I've had the car over 5 years, and it only left me stranded once, when the clutch died.
I love the way it looks now. Clean and not too flashy. The wheels are ADR Lightning 17x7. It has Eibach springs and Tokico struts. I have a camber correction kit, the camber is set at -1° at the front and rear.
The wheels are in great shape, I bought them in 2000. I highly reccommend ADR. They were cheap (at $150/each) and the finish has held up great. The only problem is the red text on the center cap faded off. Oh well. ;)
Picture of me on the autox track. I'm somewhat competitive in my class, but I mostly just go out there to have fun and destroy some tires. Only 140 HP, but I still got some smoke going there. Yay for open differentials.
Now for the cool part - my touchscreen computer system. It's a 10.4" touchscreen lcd from an old laptop. There's a computer in the trunk running windows2000 and winamp3. It has a 30 GiB laptop hard drive with about 4000 songs on it.
The dash is a custom fiberglass job done by me. I cut out everything from the air controls to the shifter and replaced it. Build up pictures are on page two.
The comptuer in the trunk. It's a FV24, 900MHz celeron, 128MiB RAM. The case is a custom acrylic box I made myself. I use a soundblaster Extigy for sound. I have two amps, one for the four 5" inside, and one for the two 10" subs.
More computer info on page four!
