This is my page for my Camaro. Slowly de-stocking.

P2: Car when i got it, and right after
P3: Car now
P4: Accident

Got her for $3000 - 145 or 146,000 miles but running strong (above 150 thou now, plus a few and still running fine, despite an oil leak), and an Alpine head unit w/ 4 Alpine components included. T-tops, 4l60e tranny.

8-13-04 No longer bone stock, today the Hypertech 160 degree powerstat came in & installed. Noticed she runs cooler and much smoother.

9-28-04 Will be putting 3.42 gears in the rearend for a little more kick and go... goin in in a few weekends, will update when they're in.

10-26-04 Well first thing's first some tires could be mistaken for slicks so tires are #1 priority right now. Looking at H-rated Falken ZE-512 ZIEX P245/50/HR16. Anyone know how these are all weather?
After that will be the gears and the MAYBE a Texas speed & performance Rumbler catback.
I had an idea recently. Car's got 155,600+ miles, so instead of putting a lot into her... wait till she dies. If I can fnd a wrecked/donor 4th gen (the later the year the better) Z28, I can ransfer over everything. I already have the Z28 shocks and springs; wiht a donor car I can get the engine and all accessories, and trans. Everything I need; maybe even a posi or limited slip rear. I need to get a job and begin saving though, if I wanna undertake this project. Would be the ultimate sleeper, would still be my car, and would still have v6 insurance haha. Let me know what you think.

11-17-04 Got the Falken ZE512's in 245/50/HR16. They're getting mounted today. Next is to finally do the 3.42's down in Lakewood, I'm probably doing this Wednesday 11-24. Then reprogramming this winter. Also will proably be gettin 2 10" Alpine type E subs w/box and a Bazooka ELA300.1 amp, with wiring, pretty soon. Getting these dirt cheap (under $50), so I'm proabaly gonna go for it.

11-26-04 Put the amp and subs in today, much thanks to Mr. Stanek and to Rob. Just have to screw in the valence. Gears tomorrow.

11-27 Gear replacement had to be postponed when we couldn't get the read driver's side drum to release. Wasn't enough time/light left to do what we needed to do then so I'll be going back prolly the 18th or 19th or december at the latest, get em done then. Looking around until then to see if I can get a limited slip/posi or rear disc's.

1-10-05 Finally putting in the 3.42's on Wednesday. Also getting the 3" Magnaflow catback ASAP, as my muffler is blown out and sounds like popcorn. Possibly getting a high-flow cat convertor while I'm at it. Also soldering the connections behind my head unit sometime soon.

1-29 finally got the gears finished, the replacement for the broken rim on, and cut off the muffler until I get the magnaflow on. 3" magnaflow catback and 3" magnaflow high-flow cat are at my house, all I need to finish exhaust is a lift, an 8-10 inch piece of 3 1/4 inch pipe, and a bung welded in for the post-cat oxygen sensor.

2-1 Took my car into Hawthorne Meineke around 10:30 AM and they had it done at 1 PM. I have peace of mind now that it's done right. Pics to come soon. As far as performance goes... between gears and exhaust I now can kick my back end a little loose when i nail it in a straight line. Very nice.

2-18 Gears fucked up, broken tooth or something like that. So, I ordered from Contemporary Corvette an LT1 complete rear - disc brakes, 3.42 limited slip, good stuff. Was gonna have a transmission shop install it but I'm reconsidering that one, since they estimated it to be $5-600 to swap the rears. More likely I'm gonna have some people come up once the rear is delivered to the shop, and we'll do it at my house.

3-12 Finally got my car back. They sent the wrong rear, it was from a traction control car so now I have no ABS but I don't care. Handling is a shitload better, so is braking. Next thign is to tighten up my steering cuz it's developed a little play, that should be a 5 min thing tho. I've noticed my rear suspension sort of creaking in some turns, gotta see what that is too.

4-6 Accident. Quick version: I glanced to the side, 2 cars in front of me was turning, guy in front of me stopped short, I couldnt stop in time. For more read page 4.

12-4 OK haven't updated this in a while, so real quick... Fixed it up from the accident, radiator support still looks like it got banged up alittle but it is lined up correctly and doing its job. Got an SLP cold air intake, boxed stock LCAs, replaced the cat with a bullet muffler, took out the a/c, back seat and back seatbelts, airbags never got hooked back up so the module and passenger airbag are in my basement, and got energy suspension poly tranny mount and torque arm bushing. Subs and amp and the power and ground wires have been in my garage since the last time I went to the track... they may stay there, not sure yet. Got a couple 3rd gen firebird rims from Crai (Little G) with BFG drag radials on em, but they are dead now... no more passes left on em. I think that's it. Soon I will be picking up a new rear with 4.10s, an Eaton posi, and it's 3 channel so I will get my ABS back. Also have headers coming soon along with possibly a fiberglass SS hood and maybe some suspension goodies.
