It's done so the final outcome of this whole bagging project is coming but before the last look here's a few more pics of the install of the front system, comps, air tank and box.
Shock now mounted outboard of the spring pocket since the airbags can't have the shock running up through them. When stock, the shock runs up through the center of the spring. Shot was taken from the driver's side looking behind the wheel. And a shot of my 7 switch switchbox that let's me control each airbag individually, front and back separately, and raise and pancake the whole truck with the center switch.
Before the box got reinstalled I thought a dry run of the compressors and tanks would be in order to double check for air leaks, amp draw on the comps and so on. I mounted up my two comps and air tank on a piece of plywood, plumbed and wired everything and gave it the test. No problems and everything checked out fine.
So how low and what kind of lift can I get with the front system alone? Here's a shot of Sully laid out and a shot of the wheel clearance when he's aired up to the max.
Couldn't resist to to some screwing around for some shit and giggles so here's a can crush for ya under the front crossmember. Left pic is the can under the front crossmember. Right pic is with Sully layed out and the front crossmember crushing the can. Bottom center pic is the result. LOL
Next thing to do was mount my box back up. I used a chain hoist and some heavy duty ratchet straps to sling the box from the four factory hooks of the box in each corner. I had my box on a flatdeck trailer so it was a matter of pulling Sully out of the garage, backing in my flatdeck and hoisting the box off the trailer. That's my 10 yr. old son helping Dad out with the install of the box. He's into this kinda stuff also which makes me very happy. Chip off the ole block you could say.
After some trimming of one of the box braces the box was bolted into place. Next thing to do was wire and mount up the comps and then bolt down the air tank and run air lines to the valves. Pic on the left was the start of the install and the pic on the right is the finished product. Still have to clean out the back of the box a bit. Little dirty in these pics still. I'm running a Viair 380 and a Viair 480 with a 5 gallon air tank. Pressure switch is a 145 - 175.
