**This page will not contain any pictures just a brief explanation of Drag Racing in the Atlantic Provinces**

We do not race heads-up in Atlantic Canada. The only time we race heads- up is in the Stock/Super Stock class when the classes race each other. All other classes race bracket racing no matter what at every track.

In bracket racing, we have four classes of cars classifying by speed.
Super Pro-11.49 and quick
Pro-11.50 to 13.99
Street-14.00 and slower
Bikes and Sleds- Any speed of motorcycle and snowmobile even though we have had a few dirtbikes and race ATV's participate.

Our Chevelle runs the Pro class.

To keep track of points and championship standings for drag racing in Atlantic Canada, we have an association called the ADRA-Atlantic Drag Racing Association. They have meets at all of the track about once a month.The link to their website is in the links section.

All of the other meets all year besides ADRA are different tracks' points programs. We have four tracks(hopefully soon to be five) in Atlantic Canada. They are:
Raceway Park-(which also features stock car racing) located in Oyster Bed Bridge, P.E.I.
Miramichi Raceway Park- located in Miramichi, New Brunswick
Sydney Airpor Drag Strip- located in Sydney, Nova Scotia
Clarenville Dragway- located in Clarenville, Newfoundland
Our fifth soon to be track is located in Liverpool, Nova Scotia and is called Greenfield Raceway. It used to be called Queens County Raceway but the owner had to shut it down. The track is under new management now and is hoping to be up and running before the summer is out.
