It seems I have quite the match to your car april! My dad special ordered my car through wendle ford in spokane washington from the factory in dec.1971. She has set since right after I turned 18 (sept of 1983, when he gave me the reigns) until 2002. We made her driveable for about 2 years, she has been parked since 04. I just ordered her interior (which of course was shipped with wrong colors. The deluxe pony package in vermillion red/black stripes, is very hard to come by, can't get the vermillion door panels.) I was told it is a rare color combo. My outside coat is black with argent rocker panels and a argent tail (spoiler). My phillie is a project in the works too!! There is a local car show coming up and I would at least like to get her in it. she is under construction and will be for a while, but eventually... Keep pluckin at your old girl... maybe we'll have the chance to meet up some day. I've haven't come across a pony close to mine yet. That is so awesome that yours was your mom's, and she got hers brand new too!!
