This is my 71'mach 1 mustang, she has a 351 cleveland 4V and automatic transmission.
This was my moms car but she passed away on january 22 2004 from breast cancer. she had this car every scence it was new, the car was purchased at Higdem Ford Sales in Libby Montana.
The total price of the car was $4,077.50
There were only 36,499 mach 1's made in 1971 my car is # 6,892
The color of the paint is light pewter metallic according to the color code but it never really looked like that and my mom always said it was Flamingo Grey. The papers I have from when it was bought said that there was an $80 dollar base coat but I dont know what it means. The interior is the vermillion red & black sports interior. Everything needs redone on this car.

Very nice project car and my favourite bodyshape `Royal Horse`!.. good luck with the resto work!..oh hell what a job it was to restore mine..had to import spares from USA,cost an arm and a leg and also had to wait months for spares to arrive in South Africa..but it was worth it!...keep me posted on the progress..can`t wait to see the end result...at least you are practically on the doorstep of the Mustang spares shops....lovely seats to planning to put in!
