I have a 2.5TD GLX Omega Estate on a P plate with the 2.5 BMW engine. Not many were made in the estate and mine's a mint example in Magic Grey.

Cheers for getting back to me and the info Dave. What car do you have now out of interest? Ive been looking at a few websites and eBay to get a feel of whats on offer - 2.5 TD Omega Elite Estate, not sure on auto or manual box, just need to test drive a few first before I make up my mind + I would like to tour Europe with it after uni. Just want to get away from the stereotypical 'boy racer' image - hence the rebuild of my mk3 with out the tacky stick ons & graphics, lol. Cheers for the help Dave, Jay.

Cheers Jay - Thanks for checking out my old Omega..Unfortunately I no longer have the beast, but I can certainly give you you an overview of what it was like to own. STATS:Urban mpg 25.7 Extra urban mpg 44.1 Combined mpg 34.9 Tank capacity (gallons) 16.5 CO2 rating (g/km) 214 Insurance group 13 Max power (bhp/rpm) 129/4500 Max torque (lb ft/rpm) 184/2200 0-60 mph (secs) 13 Max speed (mph) 121 (I've had nearly 150!)The interior isn't anything special as at the end of the day it's a Vauxhall but it's alot of car for the money especially if you can find a Elite or similar high-spec version. Mine was an auto so the MPG wasn't great but was ok. The 2.5td is definatley the best one to go for, try to avoid the later 2.2d Vauxhall engined versions as there not as quick. She used to cruise at 100-110 no problem.Any other questions give us a shout.Dave.

Hey Dave, I'm loving the autobahn stormer! I was just wondering what are the stats on the TD. There are plenty of review but I was just wondering if you could give me a personal rundown. I've been looking to get a TD Omega estate & was wondering what the running/service costs, mpg, acceleration, motorway cruise speed, interior/build quality etc is like when ever you have time? Cheers Dave Jay.
