I bought this black 86 svo less than a week after the blackout august 03. I bought it thinking there was 65k miles on it but in reality there was 165. I didnt find that out until a week before my engine blew. So it was bought in august 03 and put on the road november 03.. then the engine blew january 04.
I was very sad for months about this becuase I had no idea where i was gonna get the money for a new engine. So my mom suggested we go to the ford dealership where my parents had gone many times to get mini vans when I was younger to maybe get a great deal on a 2004 mustang...
I went there for about a week.. I was getting all excited but still sad about my car. I didnt get approved for the loan for the mustang but I did get approved for a loan for a Ford focus......... Which is retarded.. Im not gonna get 2 jobs for a car i dont want... You know what I mean. Well anyway, I get all depressed about that for awhile and finally after like two weeks of being jerked around by them saying im approved and then im not i decided to keep my car... The only way I could get that new stang was if it was automatic and no way am i ever goin back to auto... its no fun.
To get the money for my new remanufactored engine I sold my awesome computer, I parted it out and got enough cash to pay for my engine... By the time I had the car back I had all the money for the new engine. The engine total cost me exactly 2,000 bucks. The mechanic had a tough time getting a new engine for it becuase the svo is so rare and whatnot. But in the long run it is well worth it. I love this car.

A very nice modded svo. both looks and performance are impressive. its nice to see that people haven't forgotten about those cars. I'm trying to get my hands on a unmodded 86 white svo, do you recomend it as a daily driver?

That's a great looking you have. I just got a 86 stang, but I don't think it looks a great as your does.
