More pictures (of course lol)
Still haven't made a decision on what to do with the coupler, but I did take a few pictures today.
Found part of the problem with my car, still needs to be fixed, but for the time being I need to find a part to fix it. Found that the coupler securing the Intake pipe to the supercharger inlet is being rubbed on by the back of the headlight housing and causing it to tear. I'm trying right now running a hose clamp over the worn spot to see if it will prevent the housing from tearing the coupler. If it works then I need to find a replacement coupler and replace it.
Car started stalling out again a couple months ago. Battery went during this time (what a headache that was, no power at all so door poppers didn't work and trunk is electronic locking so couldn't get my tools outta the trunk... thank god for hood pins).
Replaced the battery, and took it to a shop my buddy works out. Hooked it up to their diagnostics software and found some interesting information. Several codes throughout the car, only real important ones were two Rich Codes, and a low voltage code (between the two both point towards an intake leak, bad MAF, bad injectors or bad injector pulse). We ran Live Data and while the volume through the MAF is higher than stock spec it is consistent and logical to believe that it is above spec as the supercharger is pulling more air. We did a throttle body adaptation which seems to have stopped the stalling (Drove the car from Pittsburgh to just north of Louisville and while the car still hasn't stalled out yet it doesn't feel as strong). I believe that the lack of full boost is causing the Rich codes, I believe that an intake leak may be the cause of the lack of boost... and everything combined may be throwing off the throttlebody and causing the stalling. Once I can get the car to run at full boost and am confident that it is not going to stall, I intend to take it to a shop down here have them give it a look over and run it on the dyno again (see if I can't break the 240 mark).
Decided to wash, clay bar and wax down here in KY. My digi cam needs batteries so the following pictures are off my cell phone. For those of you who have not clay bared before... be sure to set aside a bit of time, once you've claybared you have to wax right after... took me probably 4 hours or so to clay and wax, in my opinon very much worth it tho.
Got my car on the dyno yesterday and the numbers were disappointing. I'm only running at 5 psi instead of 8 and max power was 214 hp, shy of the 240-250 I was shooting for.
Driving my VW again. Having problems with the Amp drawing power even when its shut off??? but I'll figure that out later. Tomorrow pulling caster camber kit off and changing front rotors and brakes.
One of the sadest sights of my life
