2003 Nissan Maxiam GLE - bought on 05/29/04.

First thing to do is tint. I decided to go with 15% all around. With a white car and tan interior, 15% is the way to go.

Close up shot of the 15% Tint.

Put in Polarg Hyper White bulbs in the running lights and front clears. PIAA Xtreme White are going in the fogs.

Rewired the fogs, took a couple of minutes and was FREE!

Painted the amber turn signals red to match the brake lights.

Better shot of tails.

You have to use bulb and tail spray paint like the one below, others have used Testors.

Night shot with my brother's max in the background.

Put in the AE door sills. They really tie the car together, do they not?

Stock ride height.

Installed H&R springs on the front only (3/19/05). I might install the rears depending on how I like the ride with just the front lowered.

Installed PowerSlot Rotors on the front w/ OEM pads. (no pictures currently)
Painted the amber turn signal in the HIDs red to match the all red tails. After opening the HID housing and removing the amber plastic piece, I used the same method to paint these as I did the tails.

On the car.

Another shot. (needs a wash)

Turn signal at night. Also changed the hyper white bulbs in the front corner lights to amber.

Got my timing advanced from 14 degrees to 17 degrees. This frees up some power in the engine and also improves gas mileage by about 2 mpg.
Installed K&N Panel Filter. With the timing advanced, the car feels great now. As quite as stock with a little more power.
Finally decided to throw the H&Rs on the rear too. I should have done this a long time ago b/c I really like the way the car handles and looks now. It's a mild drop compared to the others out there for the Max and I highly recommend it. (pics soon)
*Update - Now riding on H&Rs and Tokico HP "Blues". It handles great for my liking. I'm not an aggressive driver, but I like to take turns quick...
I also switched over to 235/45 tires on my stock rims. They are wider and a lower profile than stock. I went with Cooper Zeons, they are rated exactly the same as the Toyo Proxies, just cost a few bucks less. Overall I am really happy with the tires. They handle great but you can feel more bumps in the road. But that is the scarifice you have when changing to a lower profile tire.

I removed the red lens from the HIDs and put in a chrome bulb that blinks amber to keep it legal. I think this looks awesome. It really cleans up the front end.
